In the spring of 2012, students in grades 6-8 received tomato plants donated by Silvis Group, Inc. so they could engage in authentic scientific observation over the summer while growing their respective plants. The children used those same tomatoes and spent hours in the kitchen with our own Sisters to make an amazing Italian Dinner for all of our families and friends in the community.

The event has become an annual tradition for VMS. The ITALIAN DINNER is held during the first weekend in November at St. Pius Social Hall. It is a great opportunity for families, students, teachers and staff to get together and raise funds to help support Verna Montessori School. The Italian Dinner is one of biggest fundraisers of the year.

We are looking forward to next year!
