Admissions
Enrollment is open year-round. Children of any race, religion or national origin are eligible for admission to Verna Montessori School. When a waiting list is necessary, admission will be determined on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Upon entering kindergarten, all inoculations required by law must be completed.
Prior to admission at the first grade level, the teachers evaluate the child’s readiness for the lower elementary program. Ideally, your child will have had three years of experience in a Montessori Children’s House prior to entrance into the elementary program. However, exceptions are made to receive students into the elementary classes who never attended VMS or a similar Montessori school before. For these students, social adaptability and good reading skills are of the utmost importance.
