Verna Montessori School library education is designed to foster a love of reading, learning, and exploration in our students. Our library is a robust resource and learning center equipped with a vast collection of books, periodicals, and contemporary materials that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our students.

Curriculum Objectives:

* To develop a lifelong love of reading and learning

* To encourage critical thinking, research skills, and information literacy

* To promote independent learning and self-directed exploration

* To develop an appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and genres

* To provide opportunities for collaboration and social interaction

The library is open to all students from from Lower Elementary thru 8th grade. Students have regularly scheduled visits to the library throughout the week, as well as independent access during recess and lunch periods.

By providing a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and critical thinking, our library education program at Verna Montessori School aims to inspire an ongoing love of learning in our students.

"Children are interested in books when they know how to read. This is so obvious that it seems superfluous to say so."

- Dr. Maria Montessori
